Cuba renews support to Syria, condemns attempts to intervene in its internal affairs

Havana, SANA- The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Marcelino Medina, renewed his country’s support to Syria and condemned all attempts of external interference in its internal affairs.

During a meeting on Friday with Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Atif Naddaf, who is on a current visit to Cuba, Medina welcomed the remarkable Syrian participation in the 11th International Congress of Higher Education and expressed his satisfaction with the signature of the executive program of the cultural cooperation agreement between the two countries.

In turn, Naddaf gave a detailed presentation about the latest field and political developments in Syria and reviewed the scientific and cultural cooperation relations between Syria and Cuba.

On Thursday, Syria and Cuba inked an executive program for an agreement of cultural cooperation between ministries of higher education in the two countries.
