A civilian killed in attacks on Damascus Countryside and Aleppo

Damascus Countryside, Aleppo, SANA- A civilian was killed and material damage was caused due to the armed groups’ attacks on Damascus Countryside in a new breach of the de-escalation zone agreement in Eastern Ghouta.

A source at Damascus Countryside Police Command told SANA that the armed groups on Saturday fired a mortar shell on Harasta residential suburb, killing a civilian, wounding another and causing material damage to citizens’ properties.

Earlier, the source said that the armed groups fired four mortar shells on Harasta suburb and al-Wafedeen camp, causing material damage to public and private properties.

On December 23, armed groups targeted with a mortar shell the civilians’ houses in al-Wafedeen camp, injuring 5 civilians and causing material damage to public and private properties.

In response to the terrorist attacks, SANA reporter said that the army units carried out intensive strikes against the areas from where the shells were fired in the depth of Eastern Ghouta, destroying a number of mortar launching pads and inflicting heavy losses upon the armed groups.

In Aleppo, a child was injured due to a rocket shell fired by terrorist organizations on al-Nile Street in .

A source at Aleppo Police Command told SANA that the terrorist organizations targeted al- Nile Street neighborhood in Aleppo with a rocket shell, injuring a child and causing material damage in the area.

Last year, terrorist organizations targeted Aleppo with dozens of shells in a desperate attempt to influence normal life in the city, but people in the city continued their activities and works and they were main supporter for the army in its war against terrorism until the city was fully liberated from terrorism
