Capitals, SANA-At least 72 Palestinians were injured on Sunday in the attacks of the Israeli occupation forces on demonstrations in West Bank and Gaza Strip in protest against US President Donald Trump’s decision to consider Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the capital of the Israeli occupation entity.
Palestinian media outlets reported that the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at Palestinian youths who demonstrated in al-Quds, Nablus, al-Bireh, Tulkarem, al-Arroub Camp in al-Khalil, Aida Camp and Bethlehem, as nearly 60 Palestinians were injured by rubber bullets and suffered suffocation. In respond to the Israeli attacks, the Palestinians throw stones at Israeli soldiers and set tires on fire.
The Israeli occupation forces also attacked demonstrations on the eastern and northern borders of Gaza Strip, injuring 12 Palestinians.
In a relevant context, two mass rallies were held in Yemen in condemnation of the US decision on Al-Quds, as demonstrators raised mottos against the US hostile policy and chanted slogans calling for resistance and steadfastness in the face of aggression.
In Egypt, a number of solidarity stands with al-Quds were organized; in which participants stressed their total rejection of the US step which expresses full support for the Zionist occupation of the Palestinian territories.
In Rabat, tens of thousands of Moroccans also protested against Trump’s decision.
Meanwhile in Lebanon, the Syrian Social Nationalist Party held a solidarity stand in a show of support to the Palestinian people and in rejection to the US decision on Al-Quds.
