Syrian footballers Somah, Khribin nominated for Best Arab Football Player of the Year Award 2017

Damascus, SANA – Syrian football players Omar al-Somah and Omar Khribin are among the ten players nominated by the Arab Sports Press Union (UPSA) for the Best Arab Football Player of the Year Award 2017.

The Union’s special referendum commission selected the nominees basing on their individual and collective achievements within their national clubs and teams. 100 specialized sports journalists in football will participate in the referendum.

The list of nominees also include: the Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah (Liverpool Club), the Moroccan  Karim Al Ahmadi (Feyenoord Rotterdam of Netherlands), the Saudi Nawaf al-Abed (al-Hilal Saudi Club), the Tunisian Youssef Msakni (al-Duhai,l Qatari Club), the Emirati Omar Abdul-Rahman (al-Ain Club), the Algerian Yassine Ibrahimi (FC Porto, Portugal), Moroccan Ashraf Bensherki (Morocco/Widad AC), and the Iraqi  Mohannad Abdul-Raheem Karrar (Al-Dhafra club, the UAE).
