Syrian weightlifter Diab sets her eye on the Arab Weightlifting Championship golden medal

Damascus, SANA – The Syrian weightlifter, Nahil Diab, continues her indoor training camp at the Damascus-based al-Fayhaa sports complex in preparation for participation in the Arab Weightlifting Championships in Sharm El Sheikh scheduled to be held on December 20th.

In an interview with SANA sports bulletin, Diab, who won six gold medals in the previous Arab championships respectively, said that the training is conducted according to intensive programs in the morning and evening as to be ready for this important competition, adding that the international coach, Peter Alif, provides all players with the appropriate instructions and the national coach, Maher Kurba, as well.

Diab, who is playing in al-Muhafaza Club locally, said she has gained the title of the best player twice this year in addition to previous years, adding that she was able to break the Syrian number, which hadn’t been recorded since 20 years in the category of women.
