Aleppo, SANA – The Junior Chamber International (JCI) in Aleppo in coordination with United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA) and Syrian Computer Society branch organized a youth marathon titled “Sustainable Development’s Goals.”
The marathon included 21 groups from local associations, scouts, and youth organizations who went round Aleppo Castle. The groups participated in a competition about the goals of sustainable development in which al-Ihsan charitable development association group took the first place, while St. Teresa Scouts group took the second, and al-Taaluf Syrian Charity Association group took the third.
Member of the executive office of the Governorate Council, Hora Abba Honnie said that the marathon is an activity that aims to introduce the goals of sustainable development which Syria gives great attention to as part of the efforts for achieving comprehensive development process.
UNFPA representative, Massimo Diana participated in the marathon.
