Moscow, SANA-Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that a tripartite meeting which gathers foreign ministers of Syria, Russia and Iran will be held in Moscow.
The Ministry’s spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova said that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem and the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will hold a triple meeting at the end of this week.
In turn, a source at the Russian Foreign Ministry said that al-Moallem and Zarif will arrive in Moscow on April 14th to participate in the meeting.
The meeting is expected to discuss recent developments in Syria after the US targeted last Friday an air base of the Syrian Arab Army in the countryside of Homs with a number of missiles, which led to the killing of a number of persons and injuring many others, including children and caused significant material damage.
