Prime Minister visits terrorism-hit villages, inaugurates citizen service center and Governorate’s building in Lattakia

Lattakia, SANA – Prime Minister Imad Khamis visited on Sunday the villages of Ballouta, Baroudeh, al-Hamboshiyeh, Anbat, al-Kharrata and Bramsa in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

During the visit, Primer Khamis met families affected by terrorism and listened to their demands and urgent needs, which are mainly related to repairing damaged houses, providing services, creating job opportunities and including the kidnapped people from these villages in the local reconciliation files.

Khamis affirmed that the Syrian state gives great attention to meeting the requirements and needs of the residents of the northern countryside of Lattakia, including the issue of the kidnapped persons, adding that the government will follow up on the situation of services and place them within the work mechanism to have them gradually accomplished.

He pointed out that new funds have been allocated from the Local Administration for rehabilitating the infrastructure and schools in those villages and activating life and work there.

Later, the Prime Minister inaugurated the new building of Lattakia Governorate and a new Citizen Service Center in Lattakia city.

In a statement to the journalists, Local Administration and Environment Minister Hussein Makhlouf pointed out that the new governorate building includes all the needs of the province administration, adding that the building was built over an area of 15,000 m2.

Speaking about the citizen service center, the Minister said the center is well equipped to provide 285 services to citizens as it includes reception and fast services departments and other sections for financial dealings for the Real Estate Bank and for ratification of consular documents that is affiliated to the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry.

He added that other similar service centers will be opened in the cities of Qardaha, Jableh and al-Haffeh.
