Tartous Port and Banias Oil Terminal reopened as weather conditions improve

Tartous, SANA-Tartous Commercial Port and Banias Oil Terminal reopened on Friday as the weather conditions have improved.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Director of Tartous Port Thaer Wannous said that Tartous commercial port and oil outlet were re-opened at 5:00 PM on Friday after they had been closed due to bad weather conditions during the past 24 hours as the speed of winds reached 60 km per hour while the wave height reached 4 meters.

He noted that no accidents of collision or stranding of ships had been recorded during the storm.
