Damascus, SANA – The Ministry of Health has announced that the results of the laboratory tests for the suspected Coronavirus case at al-Mouwasat University Hospital came back negative, clarifying in a statement to SANA that the patient is suffering from pneumonia.
Some social media pages had posted rumors about there being a woman infected with Coronavirus (COVID-19) at al-Mouwasat University Hospital, which the administration of the hospital denied.
The referential laboratory at the Health Ministry receives daily the suspected Coronavirus samples from all hospitals and medical centers, and it has conducted 34 medical tests with negative results on Monday.
