Ministry of Education, UNESCO discuss education in Syria

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Education, Mohammad Abdul Rahman Turko, discussed Monday with Paolo Fontani, Director of the UNESCO Regional Office the situation of education in Syria.

The Minister stressed the importance of providing a suitable educational environment for student returning to Syria and providing them with schools.

He pointed out that “an activity room has been allocated in every school to teach students moral values skills and civil peace”.

Fontani stressed the importance of the role of international organizations in rehabilitating schools and the necessity of assessing their needs to develop an effective joint rehabilitation plan.
