Syrian Airlines ensures passenger safety after SHJ-DAM Flight diverted to Tabuk, KSA due to regional tensions

Damascus, SANA- Syrian Airlines affirmed that passengers on the flight from Sharjah to Damascus, which was rerouted to Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia Saturday due to regional tensions, have been accommodated and received at a hotel in Tabuk.

The airline said via its Telegram channel that, following extensive efforts by its management to ensure passenger comfort and safety, travelers were allowed to leave the airport and stay at the hotel. The corporation expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its cooperation.

The airline announced on Saturday that flight RB 502, originally scheduled to travel from Sharjah in the UAE to Damascus, was redirected mid-flight due to ongoing tensions in the region. The aircraft landed safely at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia.
