Escalation of Air and Missile Strikes between Iran and Israel, resulting in More Casualties

Tehran, Tel Aviv, SANA-Tensions have intensified overnight and into the morning as Iran and Israel continue exchanging air and missile strikes, targeting new locations and infrastructure, leading to additional casualties.

According to Israeli media, the death toll from Iranian strikes on Haifa and Tel Aviv has risen to 11, with more than 240 injuries. Six fatalities occurred in Bat Yam due to a missile impact on residential buildings. The Israeli Home Front Command described the past night as “difficult,” with rescue efforts ongoing for seven missing individuals trapped under rubble.

The mayor of Bat Yam in Tel Aviv reported damage to 61 buildings, with six slated for complete demolition. Other sources confirmed damage from missile strikes in various locations across Tel Aviv and Haifa. Early this morning, explosions were heard in Lower Galilee following air raid sirens and drone intrusions. The Israeli military announced that it had completed a series of strikes on infrastructure used for storing and launching missiles in western Iran.

Meanwhile, Iranian media reported that Israeli airstrikes targeted the Ministry of Defense headquarters, the Organization of Defense Research and Innovation, and several oil facilities in Tehran. According to Tasnim News Agency, an oil refinery south of Tehran was hit by an Israeli missile strike, with emergency teams working to contain the situation. Additionally, a fuel depot in the Shahran area was struck, but Iranian authorities confirmed that the fire had been contained and cooling operations were underway.

Regarding international responses, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that “the United States had no involvement in the attack on Iran” but warned that if Iran launched an assault against the U.S., “America would respond with overwhelming military force.”
