Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Asaad al-Shaibani received a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ayman Safadi.
Al-Safadi affirmed Amman’s support for the Syrian people and expressed Jordan’s readiness to provide any kind of assistance in reconstruction and for the improvement of security and stability.
He expressed Jordan’s willingness to cooperate and work together with the new leaders in Syria, to control the borders between the two countries.
He talked about the great efforts made by the Hashemite authorities in the fight against drug trafficking during the time of the former regime in Syria.
For his part, al-Shaibani stressed the importance of strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between Damascus and Amman, and appreciated Jordan’s position and its reception of Syrian refugees for years.
