Humanitarian aid delivered to residents of Beit Jinn after Israeli attack

Damascus countryside, Dec. 2 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Syrian Civil Defense, delivered humanitarian assistance on Tuesday to residents of the town of Beit Jinn in Damascus countryside, following an Israeli attack that struck the area last week.

Nasser Sari, a member of the Civil Defense in Damascus Countryside, told SANA that the joint effort provided affected families with food baskets, household supplies, and essential hygiene kits.

Saleh Zahir, a local community leader in Beit Jinn, confirmed that relief, service, and food supplies were distributed to families as part of the emergency response to the recent attack.

Abdulrahman Ghabis, a representative of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Damascus countryside, said that humanitarian assistance was delivered to 247 families, in addition to deploying a mobile medical clinic to provide healthcare services to those in need.

The aid operation comes within the framework of an emergency humanitarian response plan aimed at easing the burden on civilians and meeting their basic needs under the difficult conditions facing the area.

On the 28th of Nov, Israeli forces targeted civilian homes in Beit Jinn, resulting in the death of 13 civilians and injuries to dozens of others. The attack was followed by an incursion into the town, during which three residents were arrested.
