Foreign minister, Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, received on Monday the World Bank’s Regional Director for the Middle East, Mr. Jean-Christophe Carret, in Damascus.
Talks during the meeting dealt with aspects of cooperation between Syria and the World Bank in the areas of reconstruction, sustainable development and support for vital sectors, contributing to the advancement of economic recovery and improvement of essential services.
Minister al-Shaibani affirmed Syria’s commitment to enhance cooperation with international partners in line with its national priorities, praising the important role of the World Bank in supporting development and infrastructure efforts.
