Emergency Minister: Lebanon assists in extinguishing wildfires in Northern Lattakia cou

Emergency Minister: Lebanon assists in extinguishing wildfires in Northern Lattakia cou

Damascus, SANA-The Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management announced that the Republic of Lebanon will take part Monday in efforts to extinguish wildfires in northern Lattakia countryside by deploying two firefighting helicopters, in coordination with the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister of Emergency Raed al-Saleh stated in a post on platform X that this initiative reflects the deep fraternal ties between the two countries and underscores the importance of solidarity in confronting natural and environmental disasters. He noted that the helicopters are scheduled to begin operations today.

Minister al-Saleh also expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to Lebanon for its generous initiative and prompt response in supporting the firefighting efforts in rural Latakia.
