Damascus, SANA – Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Mohammed Anjarani, discussed on Tuesday with a delegation representing the International Organization for Migration (IOM), headed by Mohammed Abdul Yakir, mechanisms to support municipalities and enhance services in Syria.
During the meeting the two sides discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation to improve humanitarian response and develop services provided to local communities in Syria.
Established in 1951, IOM has since worked with a wide range of partners, including governments, international governmental organizations, and non-governmental organizations.
Its focus is on ensuring that human migration is humanitarian-friendly and benefits all. The organization is currently present in more than 100 countries.
