Damascus, SANA- Minister of Sports and Youth, Mohammad Samih Hamid strongly condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted St. Elias Church in al-Dweilaa area of Damascus.
In a statement published on the Ministry’s official Facebook page, the Minister said: “This cowardly act, committed by the hands of darkness, once again confirms that the unity of the Syrian people in all their diversity forms an unbreakable barrier against those who seek to undermine the nation’s security and stability.”
He added that “the treacherous daggers that claimed the innocents’ lives will only strengthen resolve to preserve our unity and deepen determination to move forward together toward a safe and stable homeland, building a free Syria for all its people.”
The minister extended his condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.
