Damascus, SANA – The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Hind Kabawat, visited Sunday the Syrian Organization for Persons with Disabilities, “Amal,” to inspect the progress of work and the services provided.
Minister Kabawat stressed that the ministry pays great attention to caring for children with disabilities and providing them with the necessary services to enable them to integrate into society and enhance their rights. This is achieved by supporting the activities and programs offered by associations and organizations concerned with the issue of people with disabilities, striving to provide them with financial and logistical support, discussing challenges, and developing plans and programs in this area.
The Minister pointed out the need for the Ministries of Social Affairs, Labor, Education, and Health to share in supporting this national project.
In turn, the Executive Director of the Syrian Organization for People with Disabilities (Amal), Rana Al-Munajed, gave a detailed explanation during the tour about the organization’s work and the services it provides, which include the rehabilitation of children with hearing disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.
