President al-Sharaa receives phone call from King Abdallah II of Jordan

President al-Sharaa receives phone call from King Abdallah II of Jordan

Damascus, SANA- President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr. Ahmad al-Sharaa, received on Thursday a phone call from His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, during which they discussed bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries.

King Abdullah commended the establishment of a Higher Coordination Council between Jordan and Syria, praising it as the beginning of a new and bright phase of constructive cooperation, calling for further coordination between the two countries.

President al-Sharaa stressed the importance of establishing this council and the subsequent agreements in charting a roadmap for enhancing cooperation and coordination between Syria and Jordan.

At the conclusion of the call, King Abdullah emphasized his country’s support for Syria’s territorial integrity and its rejection of foreign interference in its affairs.
