Doha, SANA- US President Donald Trump today once again praised President Ahmad al-Sharaa, describing him as a person with a strong past.
“I met the new leader of Syria. He has a strong past, I think he will be great and we will see, he is a strong man and I think he is good and let’s see what happens, we will give him a chance to stand by lifting sanctions,” CNN quoted Trump as saying during a meeting with business leaders in Qatar.
Trump’s comments underscore his repeated efforts to publicly praise and admire strong leaders, He said: “You have to have a strong past to make it work, you can’t be a weak person, if you’re a weak person we’ll just waste time.”
