Al-Bilad Newspaper: President al-Sharaa’s visit to Manama affirms Syrian-Bahraini histo

Manama, SANA- The Bahraini newspaper “Al-Bilad” has emphasized that the visit paid by President Ahmad al-Sharaa to the Kingdom of Bahrain and his meeting with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa is a strong indication of the deep fraternal relations between the two countries and Bahrain’s firm belief in the importance of Arab dialogue and openness to enhance regional stability.

In its editorial on Sunday, titled “Bahrain Supports Syria’s Unity and Stability”, the newspaper stated: “The stances expressed by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa during his meeting with President al-Sharaa affirm Bahrain’s steadfast policy of respecting state sovereignty, supporting Syrian territorial unity, and backing efforts to preserve security and stability while fulfilling the aspirations of the Syrian people.”

The newspaper further highlighted the mutual emphasis on activating bilateral agreements and expanding cooperation across various sectors to serve shared interests and open new avenues for Arab integration.

It also noted that, given the challenges facing the region, this visit reaffirms that the Bahraini-Syrian relations transcend the official diplomatic frameworks to deep-rooted historical and fraternal ties, and that carefully planned openness remains the most effective way to enhance Arab solidarity and support security and development efforts.
