Homs, SANA- Homs Agriculture Directorate announced Monday the start of harvesting current wheat crop in Talkalakh area, from on May 10th.
Homs Agriculture Director, Eng. Nazih al-Rifai, told SANA that the early harvest was set after a field tour of wheat orchards in Talkalakh area that revealed that the crop could be harvested within days.
Eng. al-Rifai said that the total area of irrigated and rainfed wheat crops planted in Talkalakh amounts to 4,000 hectares, more than 50 percent of which is in good condition.
