New York, SANA-UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen condemned repeated Israeli violations of Syria’s sovereignty, including airstrikes on the outskirts of Damascus and other areas, calling for respect for international law and Syria’s sovereignty.
Pederson said in a post today on his X platform account: “I strongly condemn the Israeli violations of Syria’s sovereignty, including airstrikes on the outskirts of Damascus and other cities, and I call for an immediate halt to these attacks.” He stressed the need for Israel to refrain from endangering Syrian civilians and to respect international law and Syria’s sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, and independence.
