Ministers of Communications and Culture discuss cooperation in digital technology

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mr. Abdul Salam Haykal, and Minister of Culture, Mr. Mohammed Yasin Saleh, held discussions on cooperation in digital technology and its utilization to serve society.

The meeting, which took place Monday, focused on joint initiatives , emphasizing the importance of fostering a collaborative work culture between the two ministries. This aims to deliver awareness messages to the public and create educational content with ethical dimensions through technological methods.

Minister Saleh presented the Ministry of Culture’s vision for collaboration, including activating specialized identifiers for the ministry team and developing the ministry’s digital presence. He also proposed launching a competition or exhibition in partnership with the Ministry of Communications.

In turn, Minister Haykal stressed the significance of cooperation and highlighted the role of the Communications Ministry in monitoring all digital publications to address threats impacting public awareness. He emphasized the need to promote a culture that resonates with all segments of Syrian society.

Minister Haykal also advocated for work in digital art, a field in which many Syrian artists have excelled, alongside joint efforts integrating cultural and digital tools within public spaces. He outlined the Ministry’s strategy to expand internet services with lower costs and higher quality.
