Ankara, SANA-Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil called for lifting of Western sanctions on Syria.
Speaking to Turkish Anadolu Agency on the sidelines of his participation in fourth Antalya Diplomatic Forum, currently being held in southern Turkey, Gil said: “Sanctions on Syria must be completely lifted.”
He added that his country has always stood against unilateral coercive measures, and that no country should be subjected to such measures.
Gill pointed out that his country wants the Syrian people to live in peace and determine their own destiny as preserving their territorial integrity and sovereignty, emphasizing the importance of establishing peace in Syria for sake of peace in the region.
