Damascus, SANA-Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic has announced the signing of an agreement stipulating the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into the institutions of the Syrian Arab Republic, emphasizing the unity of Syrian territory and rejecting division.
Below is the text of the agreement published by the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic on its Telegram channel:
Based on a meeting held between President Ahmad al-Sharaa and Mr. Mazloum Abdi on Monday, March 10, 2025, the following was agreed upon:
- Guaranteeing the rights of all Syrians to representation and participation in the political process and all state institutions, based on competence regardless of their religious and ethnic backgrounds.
- Recognizing the Kurdish community as an integral part of the Syrian state, with the Syrian state guaranteeing their right to citizenship and all constitutional rights.
- Establishing a ceasefire across all Syrian territories.
- Integrating all civil and military institutions in northeastern Syria into the administration of the Syrian state, including border crossings, airports, and oil and gas fields.
- Ensuring the return of all displaced Syrians to their towns and villages and securing their protection by the Syrian state.
- Supporting the Syrian state in its efforts to combat remnants of the Assad regime and all threats to its security and unity.
- Rejecting calls for division, hate speech, and attempts to sow discord among all components of Syrian society.
- The executive committees shall work and strive to implement the agreement by no later than the end of the current year.
