Geneva, Oct. 13 (SANA) Nahla Othman, director of the Expatriates and Refugee Affairs Department at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, took part in the 77th session of the Executive Committee of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, from Oct. 12 to 16
Othman delivered Syria’s statement during the session’s morning meeting. On the sidelines of the event, she also held several meetings with UN officials and representatives of a number of countries to discuss refugee-related issues and ways to strengthen cooperation in this field.
The meetings included Antonio Garcia, an assistant to the UN high commissioner for refugees, a delegation from Germany’s Foreign Ministry and a delegation from the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration.
The discussions focused on refugee-related issues and prospects for enhanced cooperation.
