Aleppo, Sept.12 (SANA) Seven inmates died and several others suffered smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at Ain al-Arab prison, a security source said Saturday.
The source added the fire erupted amid chaos instigated by several inmates following the unrest witnessed in the city on Friday.
The prison remained under the management of its former staff and has not yet been handed over to the Internal Security Forces, the source added.
