Damascus, Sept. 6 (SANA) Twenty-one people were injured in dozens of traffic accidents and fires across Syria over the past 24 hours, the Civil Defense said Sunday.
Civil Defense teams responded to 96 incidents, including 23 traffic accidents that left 20 people injured, according to a statement published on Telegram.
Emergency crews provided first aid to the injured before taking them to hospitals for further treatment. They also cleared debris and secured the accident sites.
Teams also responded to 73 fires involving agricultural fields and crops, homes, shops, grass, trees and waste.
One person was injured in the fires and received first aid, while several incidents caused material damage. Firefighters extinguished the blazes and cooled the affected areas to prevent them from reigniting.
The latest incidents came two days after one person was killed and 32 others were injured in traffic accidents and fires across different parts of Syria.
