Damascus, Sept. 3 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa held a roundtable meeting at the People’s Palace in Damascus with Niels Annen, State Secretary at Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and a number of heads and managers of German companies and members of the Syrian-German Business Council.
The meeting was attended by Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad Hassad al-Shaibani, Energy Minister Mohammad al-Bashir, Central Bank of Syria Governor Safwat Raslan and a number of officials.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen economic and investment cooperation between Syria and Germany, expand areas of partnership and benefit from investment opportunities available in Syria, particularly reconstruction projects.
The participants also discussed exchanging expertise and transferring knowledge in a number of sectors.
