Hasakah, Sept. 2 (SANA) Syrian internal security forces have deployed in parts of Hasakah province to address security gaps and reinforce security operations, Deputy Governor Ahmad al-Hilali said.

Al-Hilali said the deployment included personnel from the province’s Internal Security Command, with forces positioned at al-Talaea Camp and on the outskirts of Qamishli.

The province will also receive additional highway security and tourist police personnel, while previously operating police stations will be reactivated, al-Hilali said in remarks published by the Hasakah Media Directorate.

Highway security units will also be deployed along major roads across the province as part of a phased plan to meet security needs, he told SANA.

The deployment follows an Aug. 25 announcement by Mazloum Abdi on the dissolution of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and their full integration into Syrian state institutions.

The integration is part of a broader effort to consolidate state institutions and security structures across Syria, while laying the groundwork for stability, development and reconstruction.
