Damascus, June 21 (SANA) Interior Minister Anas Khattab chaired a meeting on Sunday at the new headquarters of the General Directorate of Civil Affairs in Damascus to review development plans aimed at improving efficiency, updating workflows, and facilitating official transactions.
The meeting, attended by senior staff of the directorate, focused on measures to modernize administrative procedures and address logistical challenges affecting the processing of civil records, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement on Telegram.
Following the meeting, Minister Khattab conducted an inspection tour of the directorate’s departments and branches to review operations on the ground. He assessed the readiness of newly introduced technical systems and approved procedures designed to accelerate the issuance of civil documentation.
Last Wednesday, the Interior Minister inaugurated the new headquarters of the Civil Affairs Directorate as part of broader efforts to develop civil status services, improve public administration, and streamline procedures for citizens.
