Deir Ezzor, May.27 (SANA) Three children died by drowning while swimming in the Euphrates River in Deir Ezzor on Wednesday, while a fourth child remains missing, according to the Civil Defense.
The Civil Defense said on its Telegram channel that two children drowned while swimming in the Euphrates River in the village of al-Kharita, while a third child died in a separate drowning incident in the village of al-Zughair in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The Civil Defense added that a fourth child went missing while swimming in the Euphrates River in the village of al-Kasra.
Rescue teams from the Emergency Directorate and Disaster Management Administration were dispatched to the area to search for the missing child.
