Damascus, May 16 (SANA) Syria’s Interior Minister Anas Khattab announced on Friday the arrest of two criminals: Maj. Gen. Wasel al-Owaid, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Mahla, Chief of Staff of the 22nd Division in the Air Force.
In a statement posted on X, Minister Khattab indicated that the two criminals, al-Owaid and Mahla, are former figures of the deposed bloody regime.
The Interior Ministry said it continues operations targeting deposed regime officials involved in crimes and violations against the Syrian people, with the aim of referring them to the judiciary and reinforcing accountability.
