Latakia, May 14 (SANA) Latakia’s Internal Security Forces arrested the criminal Saeed Ahmad Shakoush, who was involved in handing over several young men from the province to the security branches of the deposed regime.
Brig. Gen. Abdulaziz al-Ahmad, Commander of the Internal Security Forces in Latakia, told SANA on Wednesday that criminal Shakoush was arrested in a precise security operation, noting that the fate of many of the young men he handed over remains unknown to this day.
He added that legal measures will be taken to ensure the criminal receives his just punishment for the crimes he committed.
This operation comes as part of the Ministry of Interior’s efforts, along with relevant authorities, to pursue individuals involved in crimes and violations against the Syrian people, in line with the principles of accountability, transitional justice, and safeguarding the rights of victims and their families.
