Damascus, May.3 (SANA) The Technical Network for Business and Events (TNBE), organizer of the International Real Estate Development, Engineering and Construction Forum “IREX 26,” announced that the second edition of the international exhibition and conference will be held as scheduled, with a change in venue to central Damascus.
The event will now take place at the Dama Rose Hotel and al-Bouabat al-Sabaa (Seven Gates) Hotel from August 17 to 19, under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing.
In a circular received by SANA, TNBE said the venue adjustment followed extensive deliberations with strategic partners and relevant Syrian government bodies to ensure optimal organizational conditions and strengthen the event’s readiness at both the domestic and international levels.
The network stated that current regional circumstances have disrupted the schedules of several events and real estate projects across the region, prompting a comprehensive review of the event’s venue to ensure continuity and secure the highest standards of success.
TNBE Director-General Hussam al-Raees said in a press statement that relocating IREX 2026 to the heart of Damascus would further enhance the significance of the event and strengthen its standing among those seeking genuine real estate opportunities.
He added that the new venue would provide a more effective platform for communication and engagement between investors, developers, engineering and construction firms, official entities and stakeholders in the sector.
Al-Raees called for broad participation in the event, noting that it reflects renewed momentum in the real estate, engineering and construction sectors and lays the groundwork for a new phase of cooperation, investment and growth.
The first edition of the forum was held in Damascus in November 2025. It featured high-level strategic and professional dialogue sessions with the participation of 30 local and international speakers and attracted more than 1,320 specialists and sector leaders representing over 140 companies from more than 12 nationalities.
