Quneitra, April 24 (SANA)   Israeli occupation forces on Friday advanced into the village of Umm al-Azam in the northern countryside of Quneitra and detained a resident, taking him to an unknown location.

SANA’s reporter in Quneitra said that a force consisting of several military vehicles entered the village and carried out the detention before withdrawing without clarification of the reasons.

Earlier in the day, Israeli occupation forces advanced into the villages of al-Muallaqa and al-Hiran in the southern countryside of Quneitra before later withdrawing from the area.

Israel continues its violations of the 1974 disengagement agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, targeting civilians with raids, arbitrary detentions, forced displacement, destruction of property, and the bulldozing agricultural land.

Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken in southern Syria are null and void and have no legal effect under international law, and urging the international community to assume its responsibilities, deter these practices, and ensure full withdrawal in line with the 1974 disengagement agreement.
