Quneitra April 16 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces raided houses in the village of al-Asbah in southern Quneitra on Wednesday, raising fears among residents.
Residents told SANA reporter in Quneitra that six Israeli military vehicles advanced from the Tal al-Ahmar area into the village, where troops raided and searched homes, forcibly entering some properties.
Earlier the same day, another Israeli unit consisting of three vehicles carried out a similar incursion in northern Quneitra, indicating repeated ground movements in the area.
Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions into southern Syria, targeting civilians with raids, arrests and land-clearing operations.
Syria has consistently called for an end to the Israeli occupation of its territory, stressing that all measures taken in southern Syria are null and void and carry no legal effect under international law. It also urges the international community to assume its responsibilities, deter such practices and compel a full Israeli withdrawal from southern Syria.
