Al-Mustafa, Chinese Ambassador discuss strengthening media ties between Syria and China

Damascus, Mar.10 (SANA) Minister of Information Hamza al-Mustafa discussed Tuesday with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Damascus, Shi Hongwei, ways of expanding media cooperation and boosting relations between Syrian and Chinese media institutions.

During the meeting, minister al-Mustafa stressed the importance of fostering the media partnership between the Syrian Arab Republic and the People’s Republic of China, in a way that contributes to strengthening the avenues of communication between the two peoples.

The talks also addressed mechanisms to promote cooperation between media institutions through organizing mutual visits, joint workshops, and the exchange of expertise and professional experience.

For his part, the Chinese ambassador conveyed his country’s interest in expanding its relations with Syria in various fields, affirming China’s readiness to media and cultural cooperation with Damascus.

The meeting reflects the mutual interest in developing media cooperation between the two countries, particularly through exchanges of expertise, institutional visits, and joint training programs.
