Damascus, March 3 (SANA) Syria’s Communications and Information Technology Ministry announced urgent steps after several government accounts on the X platform were hacked.
In a statement, the ministry said it coordinated with account administrators and the platform’s management to restore control and strengthen security to prevent further breaches.
It added that experts at the Information Security Center are working to close vulnerabilities through unified governance controls for official accounts, stressing that cybersecurity is a shared responsibility.
The ministry said details of a new regulatory framework will be announced soon, noting that previous cyberattack attempts on Syrian websites had been detected and handled last June.
