Damascus countryside, Feb. 18 (SANA) Syrian authorities have arrested four suspects accused of carrying out a deadly armed robbery targeting a currency exchange shop in the city of Deir Attiyeh in Damascus countryside, the Interior Ministry said.
The attack resulted in the deaths of four civilians and left two others wounded, in addition to the theft of a large sum of money.
In a statement posted on its Telegram channel, the Interior Ministry said the Criminal Investigation Branch in Damascus countrysdie launched an intensive field operation after receiving a report of the incident.
Following what it described as careful tracking and investigation, security forces apprehended the four suspects in the city of Homs.
The suspects have been referred for further questioning and legal proceedings according to the ministry.
