Damascus,15.Feb (SANA) Syria’s Higher Committee for People’s Assembly Elections announced Sunday the preliminary list of subcommittees for the Raqqa and Tabqa electoral districts in Raqqa province, in northeastern Syria.
The committee said the decision was issued in accordance with the Constitutional Declaration and two electoral decrees issued in 2025, which regulate the formation and operation of election bodies across the country.
Under the decision, three members were appointed to each subcommittee in the Raqqa and Tabqa districts. The subcommittees will operate from the administrative centers of their respective districts and will oversee local electoral procedures.
The committee stated that any concerned party may file an appeal against the preliminary list before the relevant provincial appeals committee within two days of the decision’s issuance. Appeals must be reviewed and decided within one day of submission.
Earlier this week, the Higher Committee announced the formation of a judicial subcommittee for Raqqa province, covering the Raqqa and Tabqa districts. Raqqa province comprises three electoral districts. Two representatives were elected for the Tel Abyad district in late October, while preparations continue to select three representatives for Raqqa district and one representative for Tabqa district.
