Damascus, Feb.12 (SANA) Minister of Defense, Major General Murhaf Abu Qasra, made a phone call Thursday with Major General Kevin J. Lambert, Commander of the Combined Joint Task Force for Operation “Inherent Resolve”, during which they discussed several issues of mutual interest.
The Ministry of Defense said on its Telegram channel that the call addressed matters related to al-Tanf base, the mechanism for its handover to the Syrian Arab Army, and its security, in a way that ensures the preservation of the region’s security and stability.
During the call, both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination and strengthening frameworks for joint cooperation, which contributes to consolidating stability and supporting bilateral relations.
