Quneitra, Feb. 4 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces fired four mortar shells on Tuesday at agricultural land south of the town of Jabata al-Khashab in Quneitra province, southwestern Syria, SANA’s reporter said.
The shells landed in an area known as al-Naqqar in the northern countryside of Quneitra, the reporter said, adding that there were no reports of injuries. The shelling caused limited material damage to farmland in the area.
The incident follows a similar attack on Jan. 29, when three artillery shells hit the outskirts of Jabata al-Khashab, causing damage to agricultural land but no reported casualties.
Israel continues its violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions into the southern Syrian countryside and attacks on civilians.
Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are null and void and have no legal effect under international law.
