Vienna, Jan. 31 (SANA) A delegation from the Syrian Atomic Energy Commission met with senior officials from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Friday to review ongoing cooperation programs between Syria and the Agency.
The delegation, led by Commission Director General Modar al-Okla, held a technical meeting with Hua Liu, the IAEA’s Deputy Director General and head of its Department of Technical Cooperation, at the Agency’s headquarters in Vienna.
The talks, held on the sidelines of an extraordinary session of the IAEA
Board of Governors, focused on evaluating joint projects between Syria and the IAEA in areas including healthcare, food security, industrial applications, radiation protection, and knowledge management.
On Friday, Al-Okla also met separately with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi to discuss expanding cooperation.
