Raqqa, Jan. 29 (SANA) -The Syrian government has begun work on repairing a damaged bridge in Raqqa province, northeastern Syria, as part of a broader effort to restore infrastructure and basic services in the area.
The Syrian Company for Construction and Development, which operates under the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, has started construction work on the old bridge in Raqqa as part of priority projects aimed at rehabilitating infrastructure and improving road and transport links in the province.
The bridge repairs are intended as an initial step to ease traffic and improve light transport between the two banks of the Euphrates River, which could help support local services and economic activity.
The project is part of a wider plan to restore services in areas that have recently come back under government control from the SDF organization. Infrastructure in Raqqa sustained heavy damage during years of war.
