Al-Hasakah, Jan.24 (SANA)-The Ministry of Health, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has carried out a field assessment of medical and service conditions in al-Hol Camp, al-Hasakah Governorate, to strengthen emergency and healthcare response.
Dr. Youssef al-Sattam, Director of Health in Deir Ezzor, confirmed the provision of ambulances to transfer critical cases to Deir Ezzor hospitals, alongside medical and nursing staff to activate primary healthcare and nutrition services.
He noted the establishment of an operation room for emergency procedures and the supply of essential medicines for chronic diseases.
Fadi al-Qassem, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ representative for camp administration, stated that most residents are women, children, and persons with disabilities, highlighting coordination to dispatch a full medical team for urgent cases.
Meanwhile, Internal Security Forces have secured the camp following the withdrawal of SDF organization elements, with the Syrian Arab Army ensuring stability.
The Ministry of Defense reaffirmed readiness to assume responsibility for al-Hol Camp and all “ISIS” prisons, stressing that combating terrorism remains its top priority.
