Sweida Governor calls for residents to embrace unity and reconciliation

Sweida , Jan.19 (SANA) Governor of Sweida, Mustafa al-Bakour, on Sunday urged the residents of the province to embrace the spirit of reconciliation and harmony, affirming that the coming days are capable of erasing the pain and that wounds will heal through the fraternal unity of the people.

“We view the full restoration of state sovereignty over all Syrian territories, including the recently liberated areas, as a blessed historic event and a pivotal step toward regaining security and stability for our beloved country”. In a statement released via the province’s Telegram channel, the governor said:

The governor continued, “We sincerely call upon the wise and honorable people of Sweida, those of opinion and wisdom, to reconsider and reflect, and to remain at the forefront of those extending a hand for reconciliation and harmony. Sweida has long stood as a fortress of Arab identity, and its people as a symbol of dignity and awareness.”

The Governor pointed out that he is confident the coming days will erase the pain and heal the wounds through the fraternal unity of the people. As for the demand for legitimate rights, he stressed that it is undisputed, and that these rights will be pursued collectively through constructive dialogue and official channels, within the framework of the nation’s law and constitution.

“Let us all race toward a better tomorrow, where peace prevails, reconstruction resumes, and the sun of hope shines upon every inch of this homeland.” The governor concluded by saying.
